Who Will Watch
Over Your Home
When You’re
Not There?

Whether you’re away at work, on vacation or simply asleep, it’s comforting to know a monitored security system is working to protect you, your family and your home against a breakin. But, you are not secure from one of the most dangerous intruders –FIRE! According to the United States Fire Administration, each year “fire usually kills more Americans than all natural disasters combined.” Against such statistics, doesn’t it make sense to incorporate monitored smoke detectors in your security system?

Are You Really At Risk?
According to a recent United States Consumer Product Safety Commission survey, 9 out of 10 homes have smoke detectors, but 20% of those have dead or missing batteries. In other words, approximately 16 million US homes have non-working smoke detectors.Another study by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) states that 75% of child fire deaths occur in places with non-working smoke detectors. One of the important advantages of utilizing System Sensor smoke detectors is that they are part of an overall security system that’s monitored. A monitoring agreement with a professional security company ensures that your system is working to protect you.

Protect Your Family With System Sensor Fire Protection Products
System Sensor manufactures products that are available for your home use. The advanced technology, coupled with installation by trained professionals, can offer you total home protection. And while battery operated or 110VAC powered smoke detectors may be sufficient if you’re home, what about when you leave? System Sensor detectors standing watch assure you of the proper protection your
family–and your home–deserve.

Monitored vs. Battery-Operated Detectors
Battery-operated detectors are rarely connected to other detectors, remote warning devices, or a central monitoring station. And if the batteries are not periodically replaced, these detectors may not work! Monitored detectors, connected to a professional security company, ensure that you and your family are protected, whether you’re home or away. Being monitored, there’s no need to worry about dead or removed batteries.

Why Photoelectric?
Many homes are equipped with 110V smoke detectors that use ionization technology. These respond well to fastflaming fires, such as paper. However, System Sensor monitored smoke detectors use photoelectric technology, which is well-suited to detect both fast flaming fires and slow smoldering fires common in households.

How Many Detectors Are Enough?
The National Fire Protection Association offers this advice: Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional story of the family living unit, including basements and excluding crawl spaces and unfinished attics. In new construction, a smoke detector also shall be installed in each sleeping room.

Hand-In-Hand With Security System Sensor smoke detectors are developed to monitor and be easily integrated into new or existing security systems. The same system that is guarding your home against intruders can guard against fire.
